![]() While I have been looking around recently for different ways for IC visitors to be able to stay connected with IC, I came across Listen Up!, a site by Justin at I Peed A Little. First off, before I begin, I would like to tell you to add your site into this blog collective. I think it's an amazing idea and I would love to support it. =) | Posted by Haily | Read Full Article - 3 Comments |
![]() Hey, this is our first Photography Competition! For this competition you must submit a photograph that captures motion in any way. It can be frozen motion, panning motion, or anything else that might capture the theme. There must be a subject in the picture that is clearly in motion and this motion can be captured in any way you can. Be creative with this! It doesn't have to be the obvious (although it can be). Click here to submit your entry. This competition ends on January 23rd, noon PST. Voting will start immediately after and last one week. Photography competitions will work just like our current design competitions but with some tweaks. You can choose to submit your competition entry into our Stock Photos section or not, unlike our design competitions. The winner will win 2 weeks of advertisement for their website, like in our design competitions. Lastly, IceCaves.net has been nominated for Innocense's Website Awards! We are finalists in Most Helpful Site and Most Updated. Click here and scroll down and vote for IceCaves! ![]() | Posted by Haily | 14 Comments - Post a Comment! |
Today, I'm going to review two more of the winning websites that received an IceCaves.net Web Award and show you the best aspects of these sites that helped the site to become a final nominee and move on to the voting round. The two sites I'm going to review today are Skylish and Heartdrops. | Posted by Haily | Read Full Article - 3 Comments |
![]() After a brief pause for the IC Web Awards, our design competitions are back! In light of the forthcoming winter months in the northern hemisphere, the theme for this competition, is the winter season. You must design an effective website design for our Website Layouts section using winter as the theme of your design. As always, you are free to use any design resources as long as credit is given where credit is due. And if you need any winter images, then luckily we have several new stock photos that were added as part of our Pine Tree Revamp from yesterday. We will accept submissions until January 16th noon PST. Also, the winner of the competition will win 2 weeks of free advertisement for their website as well. =) Good luck! | Posted by Haily | 9 Comments - Post a Comment! |
![]() The Stock Photos department has received a minor revamp. Aside from the various winter pine tree images that Thomas and I have added, there have been various slight changes in the organizational design and the search. The past system of categories has been replaced with a new system of tags. Individual stock photos can now have multiple tags and we will soon generate various tags to better browse the photos we provide. You can also now search photos by a single author. Take a look and let us know if there's anything that we should improve or change. =) | Posted by Haily | 7 Comments - Post a Comment! |

![]() The results of the voting are in and here are the winning websites for the IceCaves.net Web Awards! Here are your awards! Display them proudly on your website! (please download the banners) ![]() To the winners, please send me via comment, email, whatever a 125x100 image banner for your web site and I'll add your free ad banner up to a rotation with the other winners. The rotation will last probably several months before it is merged with the current rotation for the staff's websites. Plus, the winners will each get blog posts dedicated to their sites (2 sites per post). The first post will be posted this Friday. The post will mainly discuss our reasons for choosing the site as a final nominee as well as other parts of the site that may have impressed us. Congrats to the winners! | Posted by Haily | 14 Comments - Post a Comment! |
