Check it out!), nine more photos are by Thomas, two photos were submitted by Rachel, and the last six were submitted by me. You can see all the latest stock photos (and more) by clicking here. Google Chrome: The Browser for Web-Developers?
Friday, August 6, 12:00 pm PST

If you are an aspiring web-developer, which you probably are, then you obviously aren't using any versions of Internet Explorer. However, I think (and I would do anyway) that you should switch to Google Chrome if you haven't yet. Despite speed, functionality, design and all those generic arguments for the average person browsing the Internet, there are arguments specifically to convince the web-developer to make the change.

Your Part of the World Photo Comp Voting
Wednesday, August 4, 12:15 pm PST

Voting has begun for our "Your Part of the World" photography competition! Take your time voting, because there are 10 entries. Also, because of the theme, which was to submit a photograph that represents your home or your part of the world, expect the entries to differ a lot. Plus, don't catch yourself voting for your favorite place. This is a photography competition. Vote for the entry you think is the best photograph overall. The winner will win two weeks of free advertisement. And if the votes are close (or if there is a tie), I'll give out a second prize of free advertisement either to the tie or to second place. So good luck to the entrants! You can look through the submissions and vote here. I personally enjoyed reading all the descriptions for the entries. =)

Forget Stock Photo Inundation 2010; with this stock photos update we've reached a major achievement! We have reached yet another major milestone in our goal to reach 1000 stock photos: 861 stock photos! In this update are included 261 new stock photos added since the previous stock photos update only a week ago. Although I think I missed out on writing an update for Thursday or Friday or something... Anyway, here are the stats for the photos in this update. Click on the number to search up the stock photos by that person:

Thomas: 169 stock photos
Aashni: 37 stock photos
Scarlett: 30 stock photos
Anna: 10 stock photos
Jules: 8 stock photos
Amy: 7 stock photos

Also, good news! I've set up a system that will allow me to process, resize, and save stock photo submissions with just one click! So be sure to keep submitting, they'll be approved in time for the next update. =)

Lastly, our How to Create a Login System with PHP and MySQL article written by Icy back last November has been updated and recoded to be more efficient. Click here to read the article if you're interested!

Update August 4th, 2010: The Stock Photos section now says 874 stock photos. These are the photos just added to the site through our "Your Part of the World" photography competition. You can now vote for the best entry!

New Javascript Scripts!
Monday, August 2, 12:42 am PST

I added 6 new Javascript Scripts to the scripts section. Total Characters with Javascript is probably the most use full script. You type in a textarea and it will tell you how many characters you entered. Back and Forward with Javascript works just like the back and forward buttons in your internet browser but of course this will only work if the visitor on your site has Javascript enabled.
