It's moments like these that remind me how unprofessional and unsophisticated IC is at the end of the day despite everything I do to make it so. I apologize for the current state of slowness around the site in both the community and in the site updates. I also apologize for the lack of a blog article for this week. This past week has been a week of nothing but AP exams as I finish my last year in high school. I have two more exams this coming week (I had four last week), so my efforts to pick up some old speed with IC will be a bit slow, but you should expect some several new things pretty soon.

Once things are running smoothly again (hopefully next weekend), I intend to begin laying the ground work for a new site project. A lot of you have not only heard about this before, but also are some of the ones that suggested or asked for it, haha. Well, the project is to create a downloadable content management system (CMS) based off of the member system I made for both IC and Interguild.org. We are currently stuck somewhat on picking a good name, however, so if you would like to help us out in the forums we would all appreciate it! =)

Lastly, there may be a lack of any real updates, that doesn't mean IC is completely dead! (right? D: ) Remember that voting is currently going on for our Animal Photography Competition. We received a total of nine entries.  Voting ends Monday, May 10th at 12:00 PM PST. Click here to vote!

Voting has begun for our animal photography competition! We have received quite a bit of entries--so many, in fact, that the second place winner will also win two weeks of advertisement. We also received quite an array of different animals as well, so I would like to remind you all that you will be voting for the best photograph, not your favorite animal. We have a lot of great photography, so be sure to vote for the one you think is the best one! You can vote here.

Today we have 26 new stock photos! 16 of these photos were submitted by Jenny during her recent trip to Athens. They are all amazing and several of them have been added under a new tag: monuments. The other 10 stock photos are several more cacti flower photos added by me, but I also added several photos taken from a large trinitaria flower bush. These photos can be found under the flowers tag. It's time for IC's second photography competition! For this competition, you must submit a photograph that contains an animal. Insects are also accepted if you can make it work. That's the only requirement. Your photograph must have an animal in it. But don't just submit ANY photograph of an animal, make it creative, make it effective, make the subject of the photograph the animal itself and not just the fact that there's an animal in the picture. It's this that will help lead your photograph to be the winner entry.

Click here to submit your entry. This competition will last two weeks and the deadline for submissions is May 3rd. On May 3rd, voting will begin and will last for one week. And remember that you can choose whether or not you would like to have your competition entry to also be submitted to our Stock Photos section, but that doesn't mean that if I approve your photograph to be an entry for the competition that I have also approved it to be a photograph in our Stock Photos section.

Well, go out and take a picture of an animal (or find one of your past pictures) and submit it! First place winners will win two weeks of free advertisement for his or her website.
