It's spring in the northern hemisphere, and what better way to celebrate it than with 64 new flower stock photos! 10 of these photos were posted by me, but the other 54 were submitted by Scarlett who took these amazing pictures on a recent trip to Keukenhof Park in the Netherlands/Holland. Special thanks to Scarlett for the submissions. =)

Well, "revamp" usually means some type of site update, so in honor of our Stock Photos section now having a total of 281 photos, I have updated the pagination for the Stock Photos section to show many more photos per page. I should also note that there will be a bit of a "revamp" with the Stock Photos section in of itself in the in the coming weeks. Things to expect include a real and advanced search feature as well as some organizational updates. Stay tuned, but in the mean time browse our newest stock photos. Perhaps you will use one.

Four years ago today, IceCaves.net was born, and then two years ago today, the IC you know today was born. IceCaves has done nothing but grow in the past two years as a web designer and webmaster community. And a special thanks to Jenny, Ian, Frisby, and Rachel who submitted their own videos wishing IC a happy birthday. You can see these videos linked to in the video above.

Where will IC go from here? What can you expect within the next year? Well, first off, you can expect us to start using our YouTube channel more as we have already done with organizing something for IC's birthday. But you should expect to see hopefully some video tutorials or perhaps some announcements for major site features. We'll see. =P

Second, I hope to begin work on a project I'm really excited about. As early as this weekend, I plan to start research and early project development on creating a downloadable member system script based off of the one I have made for IC. I will remain vague and discreet about this until I think I can release a beta version for people to start testing it, which will hopefully be some time around June or later.

Lastly, you can also expect this year from IC, our 2nd Annual IC Web Awards to be held this December. Last year's awards were very successful and I anticipate this next year to be only better.

But of course, that's not all. Hopefully I will get around to adding some nice skins to the website in the next few months as well as some new ideas floating around in the staff forum.

A somewhat long-awaited feature has finally been added today. Guests can now post comments without the need to register! This essentially means that visitors who aren't logged into an IceCaves account are now able to comment throughout the site on our news updates, blogs, articles, and all of our content other. Guests can still no longer post in the forums, but comments make up the majority of our discussions anyway.

Also, remember that April 10, which is IceCaves.net's birthday, is in just a few days! If you are planning on making a video for us, then don't forget to get it up before it's too late! Click here to learn more about what we're planning for IC's birthday.

The votes have been set and tallied, and here are the winners! Each winner gets a trophy in their profile and a plug for their website in this news update. Use our userbars because there are so many! By my calculations, I've added 23 userbars over this week but I could easily be wrong by mis-counting! The most noticeable growth is the "Television Programs" category which was recently added and is now at 10 userbars. For all of you Alice in Wonderland fanatics, there is one Alice in Wonderland userbar! Woo!



My favorite ones out of the 23 are: the Nexus One, Starburst, Target and The Mighty Boosh ones!






After adding them, I'm having a crisis with categorizing all of them. Most of them whenever I became unsure I put in "Misc." which makes that category seemingly bloated and I wasn't quite sure whether the "Verizon Wireless" and the "AT&T" userbars belonged under Mobile. Come leave a comment on the userbar page to correct me and keep suggesting userbar subjects and requesting here. I still have plenty of work to do by the way on the userbars. There's still some unfinished! Oh no!

N.B. My news post feels so tangibly different to the news posts of Haily. Umm..yeah.

Since our last stock photos update, we have posted 7 new stock photos. Notably, Kyra submitted four new photos taken in the Dominican Republic. I also posted two new photos that match the theme. You can see all of our new beach-themed stock photos by clicking here. Jenny also posted a stock photo not long ago a street sign in England. Enjoy!

Also don't forget voting is still going on for our Link Back Banner design competition, so be sure to vote before it's Monday and it's too late.

And speaking of button contests (again), I've joined Rachel's button contest. Anyone else with a button contest? I might join, haha. xD

Also, we're are planning something fun to celebrate our 4th birthday as a website (Learn more) by having you submit a video wishing IC a happy birthday. Be sure to get those in before April 10!
