IC now can now boast over 1000 stock photos! Since the last stock photos update, in which we had reached 900 stock photos, we have added 179 new photos. Special thanks to Scarlett who submitted 90 photos. Thomas submitted 41 photos, Kyra submitted 34, Amy submitted 9, Jenny submitted 4, and Anna submitted 1. Voting has begun for our "Your Part of the World" photography competition! Take your time voting, because there are 10 entries. Also, because of the theme, which was to submit a photograph that represents your home or your part of the world, expect the entries to differ a lot. Plus, don't catch yourself voting for your favorite place. This is a photography competition. Vote for the entry you think is the best photograph overall. The winner will win two weeks of free advertisement. And if the votes are close (or if there is a tie), I'll give out a second prize of free advertisement either to the tie or to second place. Since our last stock photos update, our stock photos section continues to grow rather rapidly. At the time of the writing for this update, our stock photos section has exactly 600 stock photos! In this update are included 66 new stock photos. The bulk of the photos, 53, was submitted by Scarlett, 6 photos were submitted by Jenny, 4 of them were submitted by kyra, and Anna, Amy, and I submitted one photo each. What's this, another competition? Aren't we already holding a design comp that began only two days ago? Yes and yes! As suggested by Kyra and several others, we should hold more competitions. Well, here's an exciting new competition for you. For this competition, you must submit a photograph that symbolizes or represents where you live. It can be a well-known monument, something that is unique to your home city, country, etc., or something that your home is well-known for and takes pride in. And also please include in your description a short bit explaining why your photograph relates to your area. I'm thinking this might be a fun learning experience for some of us.
