| How to Install Photoshop Presets This tutorial will teach you how to successfully install new presets into Adobe Photoshop. The proccess of installing brushes, patterns, custom shapes, gradients, and any other preset into Adobe Photoshop is very simple, so there is no need to read this article a second time. To begin, I am assuming you have already downloaded the presets you wish to install. Once you have downloaded them, you need to save them directly inside the following location:
Macintosh Users
To access Photoshop's source files, press the "Command" key (labeled with the Apple icon) as you click on the Photshop Icon in the Dock. From there, go into the "Presets" folder and save your downloaded preset into its respective folder. For example, brushes go in the brushes folder.
If Photshop is not located in your Dock, simply access your "Applications" folder.
Windows Users
First, access the "Computer" menu, or "My Computer" as some older versions of Windows would name it. From there, go into your system's memory which is usually labeled with (C:) as the C Drive. In the end, the location of your version of Photshop would most likely be inside: C:\Program Files\Adobe Now, access the "Program Files" folder, then the "Adobe" folder, then the folder labeled with your version of Photoshop, and lastly the "Presets" folder where you can save your downloaded preset into its respective folder. For example, brushes go in the brushes folder.
